This is a simple recipe, no need to bake, and it is as easy as the well known rice crispy treats. The fun part is that you can get creative and add different ingredient to the basic recipe. From nuts, to coffee, or even liquors. Make it your own and add your flavor. In Italy it’s a very popular dessert among kids, but keep it away from the adults! Otherwise, it will be gone in minutes!

Here is the recipe.
- 300gr (about 10oz) Graham Crackers
- 150gr (about 1 1/3 sticks) butter at room temperature
- 200gr (about 1 heaping cup) semi sweet chocolate chips
- 100gr (about 1/2 cup) granulated sugar
- powder sugar for the final touch
First crush the graham crackers (making sure the pieces are not too small). Then melt the chocolate in a double boiler or using a microwave. Beat the butter until fluffy than add the sugar and eggs. Mix it well until the mixture is smooth. At this point you can add the melted chocolate to the mixture. Finally add the graham crackers and the mixture for the salame is ready. Transfer it onto some parchment paper, roll it in the shape of a salami, and twist the ends to seal. Roll back and forth on a work surface a few times to make the salami evenly round. Place the chocolate salami in the refrigerator for about 2 hours. Before serving dust it with some powder sugar and cut it in slices.
