Here is one of my favorite desserts and I’m sure it’s the favorite of many of you. If you look for its recipe in any recipe book or online, you will find an infinite number of different ways to make it. This is my favorite, fluffy, light and delicious!


  • 6 eggs
  • 6 tbs sugar
  • 24 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 2 packets of savoiardi biscuits
  • 5 cups coffee
  • cocoa powder for the finish touch

Giulia’s directions:

Prepare the coffee and let it cool. Separate the egg yolks and the egg whites. Beat egg yolks and sugar with an electric mixer till fluffy (about 10 minutes). Beat in mascarpone and continue to mix until just combined. In a separate bowl beat egg whites until it holds stiff peaks. Fold the egg whites into the mascarpone mixture gently but thoroughly. The Tiramisù cream is now ready.

Dipping both sides of each ladyfinger into coffee mixture and line them on a baking pan (13″x9″). Spread half of mascarpone filling on top. Dip remaining ladyfingers in coffee and arrange over filling in pan.

You can also pot for individual serving cups. You just proceed as previously explained making the right adjustments for the portion size.

Spread remaining mascarpone filling on top and dust with cocoa. Chill, covered, for about 2 hours.
