MARCHE: San Francesco B&B in the historic center of Ancona.

San Francesco9 B&B is a gorgeous apartment with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and working kitchen located in the heart of Ancona. Just a few minutes walking distance to the port, theater, shops, restaurants and bars. All you need is just a step away. You can rent one room or the whole apartment with breakfast included in the price.

Ancona is my home town, located in the center of Italy  on the Adriatic coast. The city offers many historical and natural sites to visit.

The Parco Naturale Regionale del Conero (Conero Natural Park) offers wonderful hiking trails on Monte Conero right by the sea. The area has several wonderful beaches for exploring and relaxing in the summer. Some are very busy but others more hidden and private.

In the historic center of Ancona, crowned by the Duomo, you can find traces of the city’s history founded by Greek settlers from Syracuse around 387 BC. The city is also filled with Roman ruins and you will find a rich stash in its archaeological museum and its Renaissance palazzi.

From the port of Ancona you can also catch a ferry that takes you to the beautiful coast of Croatia or Greece. Ancona is also a strategic stop if you are visiting the center of Italy or the Adriatic coast.

Laura and Roberto, the owners of the B&B, are a young couple, good friends of mine and my husband. They will take good care of you, and I’m sure you will have the best Italian experience, living in a wonderful apartment in the heart of an historic town.
